How hot is it?
Very. Orphela paste is extra hot: it is made with Dragon’s Breath, one of the hottest peppers around, plus yellow and red Scotch Bonnet. Start with a tiny dab and build up to taste.
What are the ingredients?
Hot pepper, ginger, sea salt, garlic, onion, bell pepper, parsley, lemon juice, mushroom powder and white vinegar. The list printed on your jar’s label always prevails.
Why are prices not shown online?
We confirm every order personally: price, taxes, delivery fees and timing are sent to you before any payment. Send an order request or give us a call.
How do I order?
Fill out the form on the Order page, call 438-467-7446 or email info@orphela.com. We usually reply within 1 to 2 business days.
Do you deliver across Canada?
We ship within Quebec and elsewhere in Canada depending on the destination. Options and fees are confirmed with your order. See the shipping and returns policy.
How should I store it?
Follow the storage directions on the label. Always use a clean, dry spoon and close the jar tightly after use.
Does it contain allergens?
The label ingredients do not include any of the priority allergens recognized by Health Canada. Always read your jar’s label and see our Food safety and allergens page. For cross-contact questions, write to us.
Do you sell to stores and restaurants?
Yes. Grocers, restaurants, caterers and distributors can request our wholesale terms, by the case of 12 jars.
Can I return a jar?
For food safety reasons, opened food products cannot be returned. If your order arrives broken, damaged or incorrect, email us within 7 days with a photo and we will replace or refund it.
Where is it made?
Orphela paste is made in Quebec by Les Produits Lominy Inc., from a Caribbean inspired recipe.
